Our Approach

Since February 2009, Qalam Institute has centered its approach on three core pillars, which the Foundations Program is designed to embody in the following ways:

Education (Taʿlīm)

We provide structured, accessible, and high-quality Islamic education, ensuring students gain a solid foundation in Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Theology, and History.

Spiritual Growth (Tarbiyyah)

Beyond knowledge, our program nurtures character, faith, and mindfulness, helping students develop a deeper connection with Allah and apply their learning in daily life.

Community (Ṣuḥbah)

Learning is most effective in a supportive environment - we strive to build a virtual community within the class and outside through virtual student sessions and annual on-site events.

A Community of Sacred Learning

Abu Hurairah reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
"When a group of people assemble for the remembrance of Allah, the angels surround them (with their wings),
(Allah's) mercy envelops them, tranquility descends upon them and Allah makes a mention of them to those who are near Him."
